The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Marouane Abassi, stressed during a hearing at Parliament’s Finance, Planning and Development Committee Thursday the need to deal seriously with the Libyan market, especially after the recent economic movement with Tunisia.

Abassi stressed the need to facilitate the process of Libyans entering Tunisia, and avoiding leaving them waiting for hours at the border crossing, dealing with them flexibly in clinics, and not overcharging, in addition to facilitating the process of withdrawing money from banks, with the aim of restoring confidence.

Abassi indicated that banks are an essential partner in this process, and called for creating new ways to boost investment and support of the national economy, Tunisian Express FM reported.
