Huawei attended the 10th TAQNYA Expo

More than 200 companies in the Libyan communications industry participated in the four-day event “10th TAQNYA Expo”, which aims to promote high-end technical exchanges in the Libyan communications industry and play a key role in Libya’s future network development, according to its organiser.

Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, the Prime Minister of Libya’s Government of National Unity, attended the opening ceremony and visited some representative stands to gain a deeper understanding of the latest technologies and trends in ICT.

In his touring, the Prime Minister, accompanied by Mohammed Bin Ayyad, the Chairman of LPTIC, Mohammed Al-Huweij, the Chairman of the General Authority of Communications and Informatics Abulbaset Albaour, and other government officials, was warmly welcomed by Jack Li, Huawei Libya General Manager, at the Huawei stand.

Jack Li presented a comprehensive portfolio on Huawei history, technical evolution trends, long-term strategy, and vision for Huawei Libya, and Huawei social responsibility initiative for cultivating Libyan ICT talent ecosystem. To build an intelligent, connected and fully connected Libya, Huawei is implementing projects such as Seeds for the Future, Huawei ICT Academy, and Huawei Annual Internship.

The Libyan Prime Minister praised Huawei’s efforts and contributions in raising Libya’s ICT infrastructure and cultivating local talent. The Prime Minister also discussed on site with Huawei how to quickly deploy Smart Modular Data Centers in a massive manner so as to prepare for the new era, as well as Huawei’s contribution to the Libyan digital transformation and talent development through bilateral cooperation with LPTIC and local partners.
