Al-Mangoush stresses importance of strengthening bilateral relations with Japan, especially in the field of economy and education.
Tripoli, 24 July 2022 (Lana) GNU Foreign Minister and International Cooperation Najla Al-Mangoush, received the Charge D’affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Libya, Masaaki Amadera in the presence of the Libyan Charge D’affairs of the Libyan Embassy in Japan Ahmed Al-Naas.
The Japanese Charge d'affairs appreciated the Government of National Unity effort to contain political and security problems, with the aim of promoting stability and security in Libya, Ministry sources said.
The sources added that the Charge d'Affairs welcomed resumption of oil production and gas pumping, and appointment of Ahmed Al-Naas as the Charge d'affairs with Japan, to complete the promote relations between the two countries in all fields.
Masaki Amadera called for strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the technological and economic field with Libya, whereby he invited the Foreign Minister to participate in the 8th Tokyo International Development Conference, which will be held at the end of August.
For her part, Al-Mangoush stressed importance of strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the field of economy and education between the two friendly countries, because of Japan's pioneering experience in this field.
The Minister extended the condolences of the Government of National Unity to the friendly State of Japan as well as the government and people of Japan in the unfortunate assassination of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, welcoming the charge d'affairs Masaki Amadera in Tripoli.
