Tripoli, December 29, 2021 (LANA) - The Director of the Vaccination Department at the Center for Disease Control, 'Abdul Baset Samio,' said that the center discussed with the Ministry of Education a mechanism to vaccinate school students.

Samio explained in press statements that the two sides agreed to vaccinate students over the age of 12, noting that vaccinating those without that is out of the question.

He added that the Steering Committee for Vaccination against the Corona virus discussed with the National Center the daily vaccination rates, the mechanism of the national vaccination campaign, and worked on preparing a plan to raise vaccination rates in all centers.

He pointed out that the campaign to vaccinate citizens with the Chinese vaccine (Sinopharma) is continuing, and the American vaccine (Pfizer) is given to pregnant women, the elderly and health workers as a third booster dose.

'Samio' pointed out that the center is working to make an adjustment in the time period between the last dose and the booster dose, so that it is 3 months instead of 6 months, pointing out that vaccination centers continue to work and the average turnout of citizens.
