The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya and the UN envoy to Libya discuss the remarkable improvement in the country's economic performance.

Tripoli, November 29, 2021 (LANA) - The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, 'Siddiq Al-Kabeer', discussed with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, 'Jan Kubis', the progress in the path of unifying the Central Bank and the efforts made in this direction.

The two sides also discussed during the meeting, which was held today, Monday at the bank's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, the remarkable improvement in economic performance and expected growth, in addition to expectations of economic performance for 2022 and the expected volume of spending.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest, the conduct of the electoral process and the efforts of international parties to support this path.

The two sides affirmed the continuation of cooperation with the international working group on the economic track, according to what was published by the Central Bank on its official page.

The governor also thanked the UN envoy for his efforts during his tenure in Libya and for communicating with all state institutions.
