The Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi affirmed that the Government of National Unity (GNU) is determined on restarting the completion of the Tripoli International Airport project and reaching the stage of implementation.

This came during a meeting held by Al-Shahoubi on Monday with an Italian delegation, led by the Italian ambassador, Giuseppe Buccino.

Al-Shahoubi reiterated that the GNU is fully determined to overcome all difficulties it may face in order to complete the project, indicating that the work is presently underway to clean and clear the airport’s entire vicinity from land mines or any other suspicious objects in the area.
