Minister of Economy and Trade Says Libyan German Economic Forum Platform for Dialogue between Economic Activities in Both Countries

(Lana) National Unity Government Minister of Economy and Trade Mohamed Al Hweij said the 3rd Libyan German Economic Forum was a platform for dialogue between economic activities in both countries.

In remarks at the opening of the forum here, Al Hweij said Libya constituted a large market in North Africa, qualifying it to be a gateway to the continent and an investment attraction point on both sides of the Mediterranean, stressing the importance for Germany to facilitate entry visas for Libyan businessmen.

He urged the German side and indeed German companies to cooperate with the Libyan side in the area of training by establishing technical training facilities.

A panel discussion was opened at the forum in which the Undersecretaries of Economy and Transport as well as the Director of Data Technology Administration took part.

The German Ambassador renewed his country’s support for the Government of National Unity to unite the state institutions and promote partnership between the two countries.
