Siyala reiterates importance for foreign missions to work from Tripoli

Foreign Minister, Muhammad Siyala, emphasized it is most important for foreign missions to assume their work from Tripoli in light of the current stable security conditions.

Siyala's remarks came during his meeting with the newly appointed South Korean Ambassador to Libya Lee Sang-soo, after presenting his credentials to the Government of National accord, Saturday.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry said that Siyala emphasized the depth of the bilateral relations between the two countries, referring to the contribution of Korean companies to development, infrastructure, and electricity projects in Libya.

The Foreign Minister expressed hope that South Korean firms will return soon to resume their work, especially in the fields of electricity and construction.

For his part, the ambassador expressed his country's support for the Libyan government and people in their path towards achieving security and stability, while affirming the desire of Korean companies to return at the earliest opportunity to complete the long-stalled projects.
