The Director of Information at the Food and Drug Control Center, Mohamed Al-Zayat, stated that 234,000 doses of the American Pfizer vaccine have been released for distribution, having undergone all necessary testing and analysis.

For his part, the Director of the Vaccination Department at the National Center for Disease Control, (NCDC), Abdelbaset Asmio, said that the center has taken a set of stringent measures related to the new Coronavirus variant “Omicron.”

He added that the demand for the vaccine is considered relatively reasonable, indicating that the Sputnik vaccine will be replaced by the Chinese “Sinopharm,” following the delay in the arrival of the second shipment of the Russian vaccine to Libya.
