oil and gas - February 15, 2021
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) Saturday inaugurated a project to drill a water well in the 'Jodaem' Forest also called 'Scouts Forest' about 40 km west of Tripoli.
The NOC says this comes in support of the scouting movement in Libya and a contribution to preserving the environment by protecting the forest from drought.
The project is aimed at bringing water to the forest which stretches 110 hectares and contains 60,000 pine trees.
The stone laying ceremony was attended by NOC officials besides representatives from the General Command of the Scouts and Guides of Libya.
