GECOL shuts off power to several areas for development work
oil and gas - January 6, 2021
The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) on Monday said it will cut power to the Celine district in Khoms city to conduct some development and repair work.
The government-run power company explained that this comes as part of its plans to enhance its services by establishing two new towers to serve the region.
'This requires separating several power lines to link them to the new towers,' the company noted.
The maintenance work may take a few days and will affect the regions of Celine, Ghanima, Al-Alous, and Qasr Al-Akhyyar, according to the GECOL.
