Souq Al-Jumaa on track for more development projects including green spaces

finance & economy - July 2, 2020

The Municipal Council of Souq Al-Jumaa announced on Friday it will remove all old and dilapidated buildings adjacent to the Municipal Council and the Civil Registry HQ, for expanding the car parking space, as the area includes several service buildings that are frequented by local citizens.

The municipal council clarified that the new parking site is part of a larger project which includes a playground for children and a green space specifically intended for recreational use.

It explained that its view is to repurpose abandoned structures to much-needed service facilities and increase green spaces within neighbourhoods to improve the landscape of the city.
