US$ One Billion Agreement Signed between Ministry of Trade in N. Darfur for Border Trade with Chad, Libya

Khartoum - The Ministry of Trade and Industry and the government of North Darfur in Al Fashir have signed an agreement for North Darfur borderline trade with the two states of Libya and Chad for the year 2019 to the value of one billion Dollar along with a memo of understanding for border trade between the said two states and north Darfur state.
Signed for the government of Sudan on the agreement and the memo of understanding were each of the Governor of the state Al Sharif Mohamed Abas Samouh and the Minister of Finance and Manpower at the State Amna Haroun Ahmed while the State Minister at the Ministry of Trade & Industry Dr. Abu Albishr Abdulrahman Yousif signed for the Ministry of Trade & Industry.
The Governor of North Darfur expressed his delight over signing the agreement for reviving inter-country trade with the two states of Libya and Chad which he said was previously booming and witnessing exchange of benefits between the citizens of the state and the peoples of the said two countries but it was halted for security conditions.
