Mazaya announces Sidra residential project delivery to QF

DOHA: Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company has handed over the Sidra residential compound to Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, as the complex is ready for housing and use of its vital facilities.

Sidra Residential Compound has 1165 residential units covering an area of 143,000 square meters, developed by Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company for the Qatar Foundation for Education and Science under Build-Operate-Transfer scheme (BOT) for a period of twenty years.

The contract between the two parties stipulates that the rent payment is payable by a six month in advance, Mazaya said in a regulatory filing to QSE yesterday.

The delivery is taking place after the completion of Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company all construction works and finalizing and issuing of official papers and the latest completion certificate of the project after the completion of all the requirements of the project of furnishing and installation of security systems and the appointment of a specialized company to manage and maintain the complex.

The Chairman of the Board, Rashid bin Fahd Al Naimi, accompanied by the company’s executive management, toured the village’s residential facilities and carried out all the project facilities and residential buildings and ensured that they were ready to receive the residents of the Sidra residential compound.

The Chairman of the Board started a tour of the village, from the village mosque, which can accommodate 200 worshipers and is supervised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, through the Sports Complex building which has a swimming pool, a large multi-use gymnasium and outdoor playgrounds. It also has two fitness centers for men and women, that were equipped with the latest technology and sport equipments’.

And then inspected the buildings of the village and examined the quality of furnishings and household appliances from entertainment devices and household appliances. Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company furnished the complex with the finest furniture, which was manufactured from the best raw materials and the latest international factories specifically for the village, which is upgraded to the level of luxury hotel facilities.

The complex also features extensive green areas throughout the complex, totaling 13,000 square meters.

Hamad bin Ali Al Hedfa, a member of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the company, said that a company was appointed to manage and maintain the village of Sidra Compound after a tender was issued. The company was selected among the major companies specialized in the management and maintenance of residential complexes.
