Libyan oil production hits record high in 5 years

February 13, 2018

Libya's oil production topped 1.038.000 bpd of crude oil and 1.133.000 of total liquids in January 2018, the highest in nearly 5 years, energy-data provider Genscape firm reported.

The firm stated that these figures are the same recorded in July 2013, attributing the matter to the relatively stable situation in the majority of oil fields in January, without a steep fall in production levels due to weather conditions or armed attacks.

Libya's crude oil production reached 962,000 bpd last December, OPEC said.
