Mi'tig Meets EU Ambassador to Libya.

The Deputy President of the
Presidency Council Ahmed Mi'tig met yesterday the EU Ambassador to
Libya Bettina Muscheidt, to discuss European support for Libyan
sectors including health, education and the media.
According to the cabinet information department the meeting dealt
with the issue of combating illegal migration off the Libyan coast,
trainging of Libyan cosat gaurd and monitoring of Libya's southern
borders in collaboration with relevant parties.
The EU is keen to give support to the municipal councils to help
them solve their problems, Muscheidt said.
Mi'tig said EU assistance had to be in line with the sectors
needs for 2018.
The situation in Libya in general and the economic and political
in particular were discussed at the meeting along with the steps that
had been taken to enhance security and stability in the run-up to the
elections planned for this year.
